Commander
From Spring
The Commander is the first unit you own (unless you are playing a mission of some sort in which you have no commander or gain him later). He is capable of building Tech Level 1 buildings, including resource collectors and unit plants.
The Commander is equipped with a light laser gun, and the unique D-gun.
