By the way, how do you all want this released? In parts? ie, first (full - ie, none bugfix) release: tech 1 units, 2nd release adding tech 2 units etc etc

Large Editing Spree! Whooo!!!

Added (adding rather) unit list with notes on how complete the unit it, and its main purpose

I've also punted out the CRU, as I can't think of what to do with it. They'll still be in the plot, just not playable ingame (missions maybe?)

Psychasi

A mix of humans from an abandoned GHE colony and alien refugees from several races (fleeing from the Tessarin no less) that have been recently discovered when the GHE expanded to find resources. Whatever simpathies the Psychasi had with the CRU they have lost after the CRU took to raiding Psychasi supply ships for foodstuffs and equipment. They have a vague idea of the GHE-Tessarin situation from the alien refugee's accounts of their experiences, but are on the wrong side of the galaxy to be able to do anything.

Galactic Human Empire

The Galactic Human Empire is on the verge of collapse. Hard pressed to keep the Tessarin at bay the GHE Goverment was forced to introduce conscription. With most of their resources expent on the war the ordinary people are running out of food. After making the stark discovery that the fertile Western sector has already been claimed by the Psychasi the GHE has no way of gathering large scale resources. Now some have started up a resistance movement known as the CRU (Civilian Rights Union) and they are rapidly gaining support, including that of the Psychasi. Humanity's survival hangs on a thread, and humanity itself isn't helping.

Tessarin

Another alien race. They move from planet to planet, galaxy to galaxy, consuming all the resources as they go. Now they've come for us. Early on in the GHE - Tessarin war GHE spies discovered the Tessarin's most deadly weapon. They stole plans for this device and using these plans, the GHE was able to construct a "Disruption Field" that overloads anything using The Weapon's energy signature. Once this Field is disabled the Tessarin will be able to enslave this Galaxy, suck it dry and move on.

Civillian Rights Union

While they have good intentions, the CRU aren't really helping anyone at all. The entire galaxy is like this:

The GHE are good, know whats going on and what to do, but are near collapse.

The CRU are trying to keep the civillian population safe - which the GHE would have been quite prepared to do if it weren't for the fact they are engaging in military operations against them. Seperatists from the CRU have also taken to raiding Psychasi supply ships, which has pissed them no end.

The Psychasi have a vague idea of whats going on, but are on the wrong side of the galaxy, and fighting to keep the GHE out of their territory. They're also fighting the CRU due to a massive diplomatic screw-up.

The Altair (unplayable in Skirmish and Multi, couple of appearances in SP) have simply gone "Oh look, a gaint inter-galactic war! Lets joint in!"

The Tessarin want the galaxy and its resources, and to assimilate everyone/thing there
