Introduction

Welcome to the GSoC 2012 page! This year, Spring wants to participate in Google's fantastic Summer of Code program. We can't do this alone, however -- everyone has to pitch in to make the experience a good one.

I'm already a Springer -- How can I help?

If you're knowledgeable about the engine or with regard to content creation, you can apply to be a mentor.

Volunteers can also help by cleaning up and expanding the documentation, especially pages pertinent to GSoC.

I'm a Student -- What's this all about?

If you want to help Spring out and learn something along the way, you can join us as a student!

  • For possible projects, look at the project proposals page. You can also come up with your own ideas. If our projects gets accepted, send your application to Google.
  • To get in contact with the Spring community create a forum account, join one of our irc channels (#sy @ QuakeNet & #taspring @ FreeNode) or create a lobby account and join #sy in the game lobby. (all channels are bridged by an irc bot)

See the timeline at GSoC for more details.
